I mailed sig11 about it but haven't received an answer yet. I'll keep you posted as soon as I hear from him ...

Make sure you have "INTERNET" selected in the upper left of the multiplayer screen. Then click "Get new list" and wait a few moments.

I have had this problem for years. Ican hit get new list a million times and maybe once I will get a few servers show up. I always connect via IP. I love sig11's web page for that very reason.

Guys, I had the problem with the server browser not working as well, but forwarding ports 27960-27980 solved it for me.

Some are getting through but not too many. He's gone now..

That server link is also on the main page under community. Using it for now to replace sig11's server list..

I haven't heard from sig11. He is too busy ATM I guess. Makes me sad, though, to lose the bootblock server monitor Crying or Very sad ... somehow that was part of the game as well.

Thanks to Téquila's good work backporting the ioQ3 code, Kitserve is now running Smokin' Guns instead of Western Quake. It's still a bit experimental (running version 1.1_SVN128), but seems to be stable. Hopefully it'll show up in the browser list, if not you can find it at 82.32.155.27:27960. Hope to see you on there! You don't need to be running the SVN version of the SG client to connect, the 1.0 release seems to work just fine, as does ioQ3 with "+set fs_game smokinguns".

By the way, a lot of the other public servers seem to be focusing on bank robbery at the moment, so by way of balance (and because some of the Kitserve regulars aren't too keen on BR) the server's map rotation is set for deathmatch.

I don't see your server yet, but it's only been an hour since you posted.

Good luck with that. Voting seems to break the rotation... and people WILL vote for br on your server eventually. (Unless voting is disabled.)

Pyrite, did you start your server with "+set dedicated 2" on the command line ?

Yes, you're right ReD. I will check what we can do for that. I think the nextmap cvar should be reset to the previous value before the vote to BR after every player has quit the server... or maybe it should be reset to a default defined in the server configuration.
